নোয়াখালী সোনাইমুড়ী উপজেলার ২নং নদোনা ইউনিয়ন থেকে ২৭ টি দেশীয় অস্ত্রসহ দুজনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ।

শুক্রবার রাতে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে  উপজেলার ২নং নদোনা ইউনিয়েন উত্তর শাকতলা থেকে ২৭ টি দেশীয় অস্ত্রসহ বিভিন্ন মামলার আসামী জাবেদ ও মোঃ সাব্বির কে গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ।

এ সময়  তাদের স্বীকারোক্তি ও দেখানো মতে উত্তর শাকতলা সাব্বিরের রান্নাঘরে একটি চটের বস্তায় মোড়ানো অবস্থায় ৩টি দেশীয় তৈরি বন্দুক (এলজি) ১টি ১২বোর কার্তুজ, একটি বন্দুকের লোডেড অবস্থায়, ৫টি চাইনিজ কুড়াল, ১টি তলোয়ার, ৯টি কিরিচ,২টি বড় ছুরি, ৬ টি রামদা, ১ টি ধামা উদ্ধার করা হয় ।

তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুবলীগের সাবেক সভাপতি ইউসুফকে হত্যাচেষ্টার ও পুলিশের গাড়ী ভাঙচুরসহ বিভিন্ন অভিযোগে থানায় একাদিক মামলা রয়েছে।

এ বিষয়ে সোনাইমুড়ী অফিসারইনচার্জ আব্দুস সামাদ আটকের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে জানান, আমরা গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে তাদের আটক করি পরে তাদের স্বীকারোক্তি অনুযায়ী এসব অস্ত্র গুলো উদ্ধার করি।এ বিষয়ে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে মামলারপ্রস্তুতি চলছে।

Noakhali Representative:

Police have arrested two persons from Nadona Union No. 2 of Sonaimuri Upazila in Noakhali along with 28 local weapons.

On Friday night, police arrested Jabed and Mohammad Sabbir, accused in various cases, along with 27 domestic weapons from North Shaktala of Nadona Union No. 2 of the upazila on the basis of secret information.

According to their confession and showing at the time, 3 home-made guns (LG) 1 12 bore cartridges, a loaded gun, 5 Chinese axes, 1 sword, 9 swords, 2 large knives, 6 Ramadan, wrapped in a burlap sack in the kitchen of North Shaktala Sabbir. 1 dhama was recovered.

There are several cases against them on various charges including attempted murder of former Juba League president Yusuf and vandalism of a police vehicle.

Sonaimuri Officer-in-Charge Abdus Samad confirmed the arrest and said, "We arrested them on the basis of secret information and later recovered the weapons as per their confession. A case is being prepared against them in this regard."
