বেগমগঞ্জে ২ ফার্মেসি কর্মচারীর করোনা শনাক্ত, Corona of 2 pharmacy employees identified in Begumganj

নোয়াখালীর বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলার চৌমুহনী বাজারে এবার করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়েছে (৩৫) ও (৩৮) দুই ওষধ ফার্মেসির কর্মচারী। এনিয়ে জেলায় করোনা রোগীর সংখ্যা বেড়ে ১৬জন। 

যারমধ্যে জেলার বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলায় ৮জন, সদরে ২জন, সোনাইমুড়ীতে ২জন, হাতিয়ায় ২জন, সেনবাগে ১জন ও কবিরহাটে ১জন রোগী রয়েছে। মারা গেছেন সোনাইমুড়ীতে এক ইতালি প্রবাসী ও সেনবাগে এক রাজমেস্ত্রী।    

সোমবার (৪ মে) বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন, জেলা সিভিল সার্জন ডা. মো. মোমিনুর রহমান।

বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডা. অসীম কুমার দাস জানান, করোনা ভাইরাসের উপসর্গ থাকায় গত ২৬এপ্রিল রবিবার চৌমুহনী বাজারে দুই ফার্মেসি কর্মচারী সহ মোট ৫জনের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হয়। পরে তাদের নমুনা পরীক্ষার জন্য বাংলাদেশ ইনস্ট্রিটিউট অব ট্রফিক্যাল এন্ড এনফেকসাস ডিজিস (বিআইটিআইডি) চট্টগ্রামে পাঠানো হয়েছিল। যার মধ্যে (৩৫) ও (৩৮) এ দুই জনের করোনা রিপোর্ট পজেটিভ এসেছে। বাকী ৩জনের রিপোর্ট নেগেটিভ আসছে। 

তিনি আরও জানান, শনাক্ত হওয়া ব্যাক্তিগণ একই ওষধ ফার্মেসিতে কাজ করতেন। কয়েকদিন ধরে জ্বর ও কাশিতে ভুগছিলেন তারা। স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে এনে তাদের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছিল। তাদের মধ্যে একজন বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলার দূর্গাপুর ও অন্য জন সোনাইমুড়ীর উপজেলার বাসিন্দা। তাদের সংস্পর্শে ফার্মেসির অন্য কর্মচারীদের শরীর থেকে নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হবে। তাদের শারীরিক অবস্থার প্রেক্ষিতে আইসোলেশনের ব্যবস্থা করা হবে।

Noakhali Representative:

Employees of two pharmacies (35) and (36) have been attacked by corona in Chaumuhani Bazar of Begumganj upazila of Noakhali. The number of corona patients in the district has increased to 18.

There are 6 patients in Begumganj upazila of the district, 2 in Sadar, 2 in Sonaimuri, 2 in Hatia, 1 in Senbagh and 1 in Kabirhat. An Italian expatriate died in Sonaimuri and a mason in Senbagh.

Begumganj Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Asim Kumar Das said a total of five samples, including two pharmacy employees, were collected at Chaumuhani Bazar on Sunday, April 26, due to symptoms of corona virus. Later, their samples were sent to Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chittagong for testing. Of which, the corona reports of two people in (35) and (36) have come positive. The reports of the remaining 3 people are coming negative.

He added that the identified persons were working in the same pharmacy. They were suffering from fever and cough for several days. Their samples were collected by bringing them to the health complex. One of them is a resident of Durgapur of Begumganj upazila and the other is a resident of Sonaimuri upazila. Samples will be collected from the bodies of other employees of the pharmacy in their contact. Isolation will be arranged according to their physical condition.
