নোয়াখালীর হাতিয়ায় দুই মোটরসাইকেলের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে শিক্ষক নিহত, আহত-৩ ,Teacher killed, 3 injured in Noakhali collision

নোয়াখালীর বিচ্ছিন্ন দ্বীপ উপজেলা হাতিয়ায় দু'টি মোটরসাইকেলের মধ্যে মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এতে আব্দুল হালিম সবুজ (৩১) নামের শিক্ষক নিহত হয়েছেন। ঘটনায় তার ছোট ভাইসহ মোটরসাইকেলের ৩ আরোহী আহত হয়েছেন।

বুধবার দুপুরের দিকে চৌহমুনী খাদ্য গুদাম এলাকায় এ দূর্ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত আব্দুল হালিম সবুজ বুড়িরচর ইউনিয়নের রেহানিয়া গ্রামের নুরুল আমিনের ছেলে। তিনি লক্ষ্মীপুর পলিটেকনিক ইনস্টিটিউটের সিভিল ডিপার্টমেন্টের শিক্ষক ছিলেন। আহতরা হচ্ছেন, সবুজের ছোট ভাই আব্দুল হামিদ'সহ তিনজন।

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে,  ছোট ভাইকে নিয়ে মোটরসাইকেল যোগে ওছখালির দিকে আসছিল সবুজ। পথে চৌহমুনী খাদ্য গুদাম এলাকায় পৌঁছলে বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা অপর একটি মোটরসাইকেলের সাথে মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে দুই মোটরসাইকেলে থাকা চার আরোহী আহত হয়। স্থানীয় লোকজন আহতদের উদ্ধার করে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে গেলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক সবুজকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। অপর আহতরা হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছেন।

হাতিয়া থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) আবুল খায়ের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, মোটরসাইকেল দু'টি আটক করা হয়েছে।

Two motorcycles collided head-on in Hatia, an isolated island in Noakhali. A teacher named Abdul Halim Sabuj (31) was killed in the incident. Three motorcyclists including his younger brother were injured in the incident.

The accident took place in the Chauhamuni food warehouse area around noon on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Abdul Halim, son of Nurul Amin of Rehania village under Sabuj Burirchar union. He was a teacher in the Civil Department of Laxmipur Polytechnic Institute. The injured are Sabuj's younger brother Abdul Hamid and three others.

According to local sources, Sabuj was coming towards Ochkhali with his younger brother on a motorcycle. On the way to Chauhamuni food warehouse area, another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction collided head-on. Four riders on two motorcycles were injured. When the locals rescued the injured and took them to the Upazila Health Complex, the on-duty doctor declared Sabuj dead. The other injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Hatia Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Khair confirmed the matter and said two motorcycles have been seized.
