নোয়াখালী সুবর্ণচরে দু’টি মোটরসাইকেলের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে মোটরসাইকেল আরোহী এনায়েত উল্যাহ বাপ্পী (১৬) নামের এক কিশোর নিহত হয়েছেন।

এ ঘটনায় দুই মোটরসাইকেলের আরও তিন আরোহী আহত হয়েছে।

বৃহস্পতিবার দিবাগত রাত ৯টার দিকে চেয়ারম্যানঘাট-সোনাপুর সড়কের বৈরাগী  রাস্তার মাথার চরজব্বর ফায়ার সার্ভিস স্টেশনের সামনে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত এনায়েত উল্যাহ বাপ্পী চরবজলুল করিম গ্রামের নূর আহম্মদের ছেলে। আহতরা হচ্ছেন, চরবজলুল করিম গ্রামের নিজাম উদ্দিন (১৭), চরজুবলী এলাকার আরাফাত হোসেন (৩৮) ও একই এলাকার মোস্তাক আহম্মেদ (৩০)।

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, রাতে বাপ্পী ও নিজাম চেয়ারম্যানঘাট-সোনাপুর সড়ক দিয়ে মোটরসাইকেল যোগে বাড়ী ফিরছিল। পথে তাদের মোটরসাইকেলটি চরজব্বর ফায়ার সার্ভিসের দক্ষিণ পাশে পৌঁছলে বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা অপর একটি মোটরসাইকেলের সাথে মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে দুটি মোটরসাইকেলে থাকা চার আরোহী গুরুতর আহত হয়। স্থানীয় লোকজন আহতদের উদ্ধার করে চরজব্বর স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে গেলে অবস্থার অবনতি হলে তাদেরকে নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে প্রেরণ করে। সেখানে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক এনায়েত উল্যাহ বাপ্পীকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।

নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালের আবাসিক মেডিকেল অফিসার (আরএমও) ডা. সৈয়দ মো আব্দুল আজিম জানান, রাতে মৃত অবস্থায় এনায়েত উল্যাহ বাপ্পী নামের এক কিশোরকে হাসপাতালে আনা হয়েছে।

চরজব্বার থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) শাহেদ উদ্দিন চৌধুরী বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে জানান, নিহতের লাশ নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে রয়েছে। ঘটনাস্থল থেকে মোটরসাইকেল দুটি উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে।
