প্রেমিকা (১৭) কে অপহরণ করে ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে নোয়াখালীর কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানা পুলিশ অভিযান চালিয়ে মনিরুল ইসলাম তারেক (১৯) নামের এক যুবককে গ্রেফতার করেছে।

শনিবার দুপুরে গ্রেফতারকৃত মনিরুল ইসলাম তারেককে আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে ও আদালতে ওই ছাত্রীর জবানবন্দী রেকর্ড করে তাকে ডাক্তারি পরীক্ষার জন্য নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে। গ্রেফতারকৃত তারেক রামপুর ইউনিয়নের ৩নং ওয়ার্ডের ওয়াতী ভূঁইয়া বাড়ীর নজরুল ইসলাম প্রকাশ খান সাহেবের ছেলে।

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, ১৬ বছর বয়সী ফাজিল প্রথম বর্ষে অধ্যয়নরত ওই মাদ্রাসা ছাত্রীর সাথে প্রেমের সম্পর্ক ছিল তারেকের। গত বৃহস্পতিবার মেয়েটিকে বিয়ের প্রলোভন দেখিয়ে ফেনী নিয়ে যায় তারেক। পরে তারা একটি আবাসিক হোটেলে উঠে।

পুলিশ জানায়, ছাত্রীটি অপহরণ হয়েছে বলে তার পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে শুক্রবার থানায় মৌখিক অভিযোগ করা হয়। অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে শুক্রবার রাত ৯টার দিকে ফেনীর একটি আবাসিক হোটেলে অভিযান চালিয়ে ছাত্রীটিকে উদ্ধার ও অভিযুক্ত মনিরুল ইসলাম তারেককে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। পরে ঘটনায় মেয়েটির মা বাদী হয়ে তারেক ও তার সহযোগিতাকারী চরকাঁকড়া ইউনিয়নের আহছান উল্যার ছেলে নাহিদকে আসামী করে থানায় একটি মামলা দায়ের করেন।

মামলা সূত্রে জানা গেছে, গত বুধবার ছাত্রীটি মাদ্রাসায় যাওয়ার পথে নাহিদের সহযোগিতায় তারেক তাকে অপহরণ করে নিয়ে যায়। পরে ফেনীর একটি আবাসিক হোটেলে আটকে রেখে বিয়ের প্রলোভন দেখিয়ে তার ইচ্ছের বিরুদ্ধে একাধিকবার ধর্ষণ করে তারেক।

কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানার পুলিশ পরিদর্শক (তদন্ত) রবিউল হক জানান, মেয়েটির পরিবারের অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে মামলার প্রধান আসামী তারেককে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। মামলার অপর আসামীকে গ্রেফতারের চেষ্টা চলছে।
