নোয়াখালীর বিচ্ছিন্ন দ্বীপ উপজেলা হাতিয়ার নলচিরা ইউনিয়নের অভিযান চালিয়ে মঞ্জু রাণী দাস (২৮) নামে এক নারী মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে গ্রেফতার করেছে কোস্টগার্ড। এসময় তার কাছ থেকে ১১৮ পিস ইয়াবা, ১৫ হাজার টাকা ও ১টি মোবাইল ফোন জব্দ করা হয়।
শুক্রবার (১৩ ডিসেম্বর) নলচিরা ইউনিয়নের ৪নং ওয়ার্ডের দাসের হাট গ্রামের তার বসত বাড়িতে অভিযান চালিয়ে তাকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। গ্রেফতারকৃত মঞ্জু রানী একই এলাকার স্থায়ী বাসিন্দা।
কোস্টগার্ড হাতিয়ার স্টেশন অফিসার লেফটেন্যান্ট মেহেদী হাসান জানান, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে ওই নারী মাদক ব্যবসায়ীর বাড়ীতে অভিযান চালিয়ে ১১৮ পিস ইয়াবা, ১৫ হাজার টাকা ও ১ টি মোবাইল ফোনসহ তাকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে।
তিনি আরো জানান, তার বিরুদ্ধে ৩টি মাদক মামলা রয়েছে। এ ঘটনায় তার বিরুদ্ধে মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে আরো একটি মামলা দায়েরের প্রস্তুতি চলছে।

He was arrested on Friday (December 7th) in his residence at Das's Hat village in ward no. 9 of Nalchira Union. The arrested Manju Rani is a permanent resident of the same area.
Lt. Mehedi Hassan, a Coastguard tool station officer, said that the woman was arrested on a tip-off by a raid on a drug dealer's house along with 5 piece yaba, 3 thousand taka and 3 mobile phones.
He also said there were six drug cases against him. Another case is being filed against him under the Drug Control Act.
