নোয়াখালী সদর উপজেলার রামহরিতালুক গ্রামের মৃত গোলাম কিবরিয়ার ছেলে সুলতান মাহমুদ শাকিল (২৫) ও বারাহীপুর গ্রামের আবদুস সহিদের ছেলে মনিরুল ইসলাম সুজন (২৪) এর কাছ থেকে চাঁদা না পেয়ে সন্ত্রাসী জহির বাহিনী রাস্তা থেকে তুলে নিয়ে শারীরিক নির্যাতনের পর অস্ত্র দিয়ে পুলিশে সোপর্দ করে মিথ্যা মামলায় ফাঁসিয়েছেন।
বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে নোয়াখালী প্রেসক্লাব হলরুমে সংবাদ সম্মেলনে লিখিত বক্তব্যে এ অভিযোগ তুলে ধরেন ভোক্তভোগী পরিবারের সদস্যরা। সংবাদ সম্মেলনে সুলতান মাহমুদ শাকিলের মাতা রোজী আক্তার, নানা বাহা উদ্দিন, ছোট ভাই সুলতান মাহবুব নাবিল, মাহমুদ হাসান ফাহিম, মামি তাজনাহার বেগম, মনিরুল ইসলাম সুজনের বাবা আবদুস সহিদ, মাতা বিবি জাকেরা প্রমূখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
লিখিত বক্তব্যে সুলতান মাহমুদ শাকিলের নানা বাহা উদ্দিন জানান, সদর উপজেলার বারাহীপুর গ্রামের রুহুল আমিনের ছেলে মো. জহির উদ্দিন (কসাই জহির) স্থানীয় সন্ত্রাসীদের সমন্বয়ে “জহির বাহিনী” নামের একটি সন্ত্রাসী বাহিনী গড়ে তোলে এলাকায় চুরি-ডাকাতি, চাঁদাবাজি, ছিনতাই, অপহরণ, লুটপাট, অস্ত্রের কারবার, মাদক ব্যবসা ও সন্ত্রাসী কর্মকান্ড পরিচালিত করে আসছে। ২০১৭ সালের ২৬ জানুয়ারী জহির বাহিনীর প্রধান কসাই জহিরের বাড়ির তার বসত ঘর থেকে পুলিশ বিপুল সংখ্যক অবৈধ অস্ত্র উদ্ধার করে।
উপজেলার রামহরিতালুক গ্রামের মৃত গোলাম কিবরিয়ার ছেলে শাকিল দীর্ঘদিন জীবিকার তাগিদে প্রবাসে ছিলেন। শাকিল প্রবাস থেকে বাড়িতে এসে একটি পোল্টি খামার গড়ে তোলতে মূলধন প্রস্তত করতঃ গত এক মাস পূর্বে তার পৈত্রিক মালিকানাধীন এক খন্ড জমি বিক্রি করেন। ওই জমি বিক্রির পর থেকে সন্ত্রাসী জহিরসহ তার বাহিনীর সদস্যরা শাকিলের কাছ থেকে দুই লাখ টাকা চাঁদা দাবি করেন এবং চাঁদার টাকা না দিলে তাকে প্রাণে হত্যার হুমকি দেয়।
ওই চাঁদার টাকা না দেওয়ায় গত সোমবার (১৬ ডিসেম্বর) দিবাগত রাত ১০টার দিকে শাকিল তার বন্ধু মনিরুল ইসলাম সুজনকে খলিফারহাট বাজারের উত্তর পাশে কসাই বাড়ির দরজায় পেয়ে জহির বাহিনীর প্রধান কসাই জহির ও তার বাহিনীর সদস্য সোহাগ, আনোয়ার, ফারুক, আকবর, রিয়াজ, রশিদ, করিমসহ অপরাপর একদল সন্ত্রাসী এলাপাতাড়ি মারধর শুরু করে। এরপর শাকিল ও সুজনকে কসাই জহিরের বাড়ির ভিতর নিয়ে যায় এবং দুই লক্ষ টাকা দিতে বলে। তারা টাকা দিতে অস্বীকৃতি জানালে শাকিল ও সুজনের কাছে অস্ত্র পাওয়া গেছে বলে থানায় খবর দেয়। পরে সুধারাম মডেল থানার এএসআই আবদুস সালাম ঘটনাস্থলে গেলে জহির ও তার বাহিনীর সদস্যরা পুলিশের হাতে একটি দেশীয় তৈরী এলজি ও কার্তুজ তুলে দিয়ে বলেন এগুলো শাকিল ও সুজনের দেহ থেকে পাওয়া গেছে। পরে পুলিশ জহির বাহিনীর সাজানো ঘটনায় আহত শাকিল ও সুজনকে উদ্ধার করে থানায় নিয়ে অস্ত্র আইনে মামলা দিয়ে জেল হাজতে পাঠায়। জহির বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহনসহ সাজানো মিথ্যা মামলা প্রত্যাহার করতে প্রশাসনের কাছে জোর দাবি জানান ভোক্তভোগী পরিবারের সদস্যরা।
এদিকে বৃহস্পতিবার দুপুরে সন্ত্রাসী জহির বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে আইননানুগ ব্যবস্থা নিয়ে অস্ত্র দিয়ে সাজানো মিথ্যা মামলা প্রত্যাহারের দাবিতে পুলিশ সুপার বরাবর লিখিত আবেদন জানিয়েছেন ভোক্তভোগী শাকিলের মাতা রোজী আক্তার ও সুজনের বাবা আবদুস সহিদ।

In writing, Baha Uddin of Sultan Mahmud Shakil said, Ruhul Amin is the son of Barahipur village of Sadar upazila. Zahir Uddin (Butcher Zaheer) formed a terrorist group called 'Zahir Bahini' in collaboration with local terrorists to carry out raids, extortion, extortion, kidnapping, looting, arms smuggling, drug trafficking and terrorist activities in the area. On January 27, police recovered a large amount of illegal weapons from his residence at the house of Zaheer's chief butcher Zaheer.
Shakil, son of the late Ghulam Kibria of Ramharitalk village of Upazila, was for a long time living. Since selling the land, members of his forces, including the terrorist Zaheer, demanded two lakh rupees from Shakil and threatened to kill him if he did not pay the money.
Shakil found his friend Monirul Islam Sujan on the last day of non-payment of the money on Monday (December 2) at the butcher's house on the north side of the Caliphate market. Another terrorist, including Karim, hooted and started beating him. Shakil and Sujan were then taken to the butcher's house and asked to pay two lakh rupees. Shakil and Sujan reported that the weapons were found at the police station when they refused to pay. Later, when ASI Abdus Salam of Sudharam Model Police Station reached the spot, Zahir and his forces handed over a locally made LG and cartridge to police and said they had found the body of Shakil and Sujan. Police recovered the injured Shakil and Sujan in a case organized by Zahir's forces and sent them to jail under the Arms Act case. The family members of the consumer demanded the administration withdraw the false cases filed against Zahir's forces, including legal proceedings.
Shakeel's mother Rosie Akhter and Suzan's father Abdus Saeed filed a written petition with the police superintendent demanding the withdrawal of a false case filed against terrorist Zahir Bahini on Thursday.
