নোয়াখালী বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে (নোবিপ্রবি)যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় শনিবার শহিদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস পালন করা হয়েছে। এ উপলক্ষে সকালে ‘দেশের সূর্য সন্তানদের পবিত্র স্মৃতিতে সশ্রদ্ধ সালাম’ জানাতে নোবিপ্রবি কেন্দ্রীয় শহিদ মিনারে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ দিদার-উল-আলম।
এসময় নোবিপ্রবি কোষাধ্যক্ষ প্রফেসর ড. মোহাম্মদ ফারুক উদ্দিন, রেজিস্ট্রার প্রফেসর মো. মমিনুল হক, অনুষদসমূহের ডিন, ইনস্টিটিউটের পরিচালকবৃন্দ, বিভিন্ন বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যানবৃন্দ, হলের প্রভোস্টবৃন্দ, প্রক্টর, ছাত্র নির্দেশনা পরিচালক, দপ্তরসমূহের পরিচালকবৃন্দ, বিভিন্ন বিভাগের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থী, কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারী সকলে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
এরপর নবনির্বাচিত শিক্ষক সমিতি (নীল দল) শহিদ মিনারে ও বঙ্গবন্ধুর ম্যুরালে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করে। এসময় শিক্ষক সমিতির সভাপতি প্রফেসর ড. নেওয়াজ মোহাম্মদ বাহাদুর ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো. মজনুর রহমানসহ অন্যান্য নেতৃবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। পরে নোবিপ্রবি’র স¦াধীনতা শিক্ষক পরিষদ, বিভিন্ন হল ও সংগঠনসমূহ এর পক্ষ হতে শহিদ মিনারে শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি নিবেদন করা হয়। এর আগে ১৩ ডিসেম্বর রাতে বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস পালন উপলক্ষে কালো ব্যাজ ধারণ, নিষ্প্রদীপ মহড়া ও মোমবাতি প্রজ্জ্বলন অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

Martyred Intellectual Day was observed on Saturday at the University of Noakhali Science and Technology (Nobiprabi) in due dignity. The Vice Chancellor of the university paid tribute at the central martyr minaret of Nobiprabi to pay 'salute to the holy memory of the sun children of the country' on this occasion. The newly elected teachers' association (blue party) paid homage to the martyr's minaret and Bangabandhu's mural. During Teachers Association President Dr. Nawaz Mohammad Bahadur and general secretary. Majnur Rahman and other leaders were present. Later, a tribute was paid to Shaheed Minar on behalf of Nobiprabi's subordinate teachers council, various halls and organizations. Earlier, on the night of December 8, the occasion of intellectual day was held with black badge holding, Bardip lamp and candlelight.
