সড়ক পরিবহন ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের এমপি টানা দ্বিতীয় মেয়াদে আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক নির্বাচিত হওয়ায় তাঁর নিজ জেলা নোয়াখালীতে আনন্দ মিছিল হয়েছে। চলেছে মিষ্টি বিতরণও।
বঙ্গবন্ধুর মৃত্যুর পর নোয়াখালী থেকে আওয়ামী লীগের একমাত্র সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হন আব্দুল মালেক উকিল। এরপর আর কেউ এত বড় পদ পাননি। এ জন্য দলীয় নেতা-কর্মীদের পাশাপাশি জেলার সাধারণ মানুষও বেশ উচ্ছ্বাসিত।
ওবায়দুল কাদেরকে সাধারণ সম্পাদক ঘোষণা করার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তার নির্বাচনী এলাকা কোম্পানিগঞ্জের বসুরহাটে নেতাকর্মীরা জড়ো হতে থাকেন। পরে বসুরহাট পৌর শহরে তারা আনন্দ মিছিল ও মি মিষ্টি বিতরণ করেন।
এদিকে ওবায়দুল কাদেরের নির্বাচনী এলাকা ছাড়াও নোয়াখালীর বিভিন্ন উপজেলায় আনন্দ মিছিল হয়েছে। চলেছে মিষ্টি বিতরণও।
ওবায়দুল কাদেরকে দ্বিতীয় মেয়াদে আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক নির্বাচিত করায় তারা দলীয় সভানেত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকেও অভিনন্দন জানান।

Meanwhile, in addition to the constituency of Obaidul Quader, processions took place in different upazilas of Noakhali. Sweet delivery is underway.
They congratulated party president Sheikh Hasina for choosing Obaidul Quader as the second general secretary of the Awami League.
