নোয়াখালীতে স্ত্রীকে গরম খুন্তির ছ্যাকা দেওয়া সেই প্রবাসী পালানোর সময় বিমানবন্দর থেকে গ্রেপ্তার, Arrested at Noakhali while traveling from the airport

নোয়াখালীতে যৌতুকের দাবিতে স্ত্রীকে গরম খুন্তির ছ্যাঁকা দেওয়ার ঘটনায় অভিযুক্ত সৌদি প্রবাসী মোশাররফ হোসেন উজ্জল (৩৫) দেশ ছেড়ে পালানোর সময় ঢাকায় বিমানবন্দরে ধরা পড়েছেন। 

নোয়াখালী সদর সার্কেলের অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার কাজী মো: আবদুর রহীম জানান, মঙ্গলবার রাত সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিনামবন্দরে ইমিগ্রেশন পুলিশ তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করে।

সৌদি প্রবাসী মোশাররফ হোসেন উজ্জল বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলার শরীফপুর ইউনিয়নের খানপুর গ্রামের আবদুল মতিনের ছেলে। দুই মাস আগে দেশে ফেরেন তিনি।

যৌতুক চেয়ে স্ত্রীর মাথার চুল কেটে দেহে গরম খুন্তির ছ্যাঁকা দেওয়ার পর হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হতে বাধা দেওয়ার বিষয়টি সোমবার প্রকাশ পাওয়ার পর পুলিশতাকে খুঁজছিল। নির্যাতিত নারীর বাবা বাদী হয়ে জামাতাকে আসামী করে মঙ্গলবার সুধারাম মডেল থানায় মামলা দায়ের করেন।

সোমবার সকাল থেকে উজ্জলকে ধরতে বিভিন্ন স্থানে অভিযানে নামে পুলিশ। সে যাতে দেশের বাইরে পালিয়ে যেতে না পারে সেজন্য বিনাম বন্দর ও স্থলবন্দরে তার পাসপোর্টের ছায়া কপি ও ছবি পাঠানো হয়। 

মোশাররফ হোসেন উজ্জলের ১০ বছর আগে ওই নারীকে বিয়ে করেন। তাদের আট বছর বয়সী এক ছেলেও রয়েছে। গত ১ অক্টোবর দেশে ফেরার পর জেলা শহরের বছিরার দোকান এলাকায় স্ত্রী ও ছেলেকে নিয়ে ভাড়া বাসায় উঠেন উজ্জল। বুধবার রাতে ওই বাসায় ছেলেকে বেঁধে রেখে স্ত্রীর মাথার চুল কেটে দেন উজ্জল। এরপর সারা শরীরে গরম খুন্তির ছ্যাঁকা দেওয়া হয়। এ সময় স্ত্রী চিৎকার করলে ছেলের গলায় চুরি ধরে তাকে হত্যার হুমকিও দেন উজ্জল। এক পর্যায়ে পালিয়ে বাপের বাড়িতে উঠেন স্ত্রী। সেখান থেকে তাকে চিকিৎসার জন্য কবিরহাট উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করা হলে সেখানে সন্ত্রাসী নিয়ে হামলা চালান উজ্জল। এক পর্যায়ে সোমবার বিকেলে উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য তাকে নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে নেওয়ার সময় আবারও ভাড়াটে সন্ত্রাসী দিয়ে ছিনিয়ে নেওয়ার চেস্টা করে উজ্জল। পরে স্থানীয় লোকজনের সহযোগিতায় তাকে নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। সুধারাম থানার ওসি নবির হোসেন জানান, মামলায় নির্যাতিতার স্বামী মোশাররফ হোসেন উজ্জলকে একমাত্র আসামী করা হয়।

Saudi expatriate Mosharraf Hossain Ujjal, 8, accused of molesting his wife in downtown Noakhali, has been arrested at an airport in Dhaka while fleeing the country.

Additional Superintendent of Police Noakhali Sadar Circle Kazi Md. Abdur Rahim said that he was arrested by the Immigration Police at Shahjalal International Free Airport at around 7:30 pm on Tuesday.

Saudi resident Mosharraf Hossain Ujjal Begumganj is the son of Abdul Matin of Khanpur village of Sharifpur union. He returned home two months ago.

Police were searching after reports of a bruised head cut off the woman's head and prevented her from being admitted to the hospital after a hot bruise. The victim's father filed a case with Sudharam Model Police Station on Tuesday accusing Jamaat.

Police have been called from different areas of the city on Monday morning to catch up. Shadow copies and pictures of his passport were sent to the free ports and land ports so that he could not flee the country.

Musharraf Hossain married the woman eight years ago. They also have an eight-year-old son. After returning home on October 5, Ujjal got into a rented house with his wife and son in the district's rainy shop area. Ujjal cut off the boy's head and tied the boy to the house on Wednesday night. Then the hot blood is sprayed throughout the body. Ujjal also threatened to kill her by stealing her son's neck when the woman screamed. At one point his wife fled to his father's house. From there, he was admitted to the Kabirhat Upazila Health Complex for medical treatment. At one point, on Monday afternoon, when he was taken to Noakhali General Hospital for advanced treatment, the mercenary again tried to rob him with terror. Later, he was admitted to Noakhali General Hospital with the help of local people. Sudharam police OC Nabir Hossain said the victim's husband, Mosharraf Hossain Ujjal, was the sole accused in the case.
