নোয়াখালীর কোম্পানীগঞ্জে বন্দুকযুদ্ধে আন্তজেলা ডাকাত দলের সর্দার নিহত, অস্ত্র-গুলি উদ্ধার, Head of the anti-dacoit robbery at Noakhali's companyganj Dead, arms recovered

নোয়াখালীর কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার মুছাপুর ইউনিয়নে পুলিশের সাথে কথিত বন্দুক যুদ্ধে শাহাদাত হোসেন স্বপন (৪০) নামের এক ব্যক্তি নিহত হয়েছে। ঘটনাস্থল থেকে অস্ত্র ও গুলি উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। পুলিশ বলছে নিহত স্বপন আন্তঃজেলা (চাঁদপুর, লক্ষ্মীপুর, ফেনী, নোয়াখালী) ডাকাত দলের সর্দার। তার বিরুদ্ধে বিভিন্ন থানায় ২৩টি মামলা রয়েছে। ঘটনায় ৬পুলিশ সদস্য আহত হয়েছে।

রবিবার দিবাগত রাত ৩টার দিকে ছোটধলী গ্রামের বেঁড়ি বাঁধের উপর এ বন্দুক যুদ্ধের ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত শাহাদাত হোসেন কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার রামপুর ইউনিয়নের বামনী বাজার এলাকার বেলায়েত হোসেনের ছেলে। আহত পুলিশ সদস্যরা হচ্ছেন, কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানার এসআই আনোয়ার, কনেস্টবল শরিফ, আলা উদ্দিন, খোরশেদ, আরিফ ও ডিবি কনেস্টবল আব্দুল মালেক।

পুলিশ জানায়, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে রবিবার সন্ধ্যায় কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানার পুলিশ পরিদর্শক (তদন্ত) মোস্তাফিজুর রহমানের নেতৃত্বে বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলার চৌমুহনীতে অভিযান চালিয়ে আন্তঃজেলা ডাকাত দলের সর্দার শাহাদাত হোসেনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে পুলিশ। পরে তাকে ব্যাপক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের পর সে স্বীকার করে তার সহযোগিরা ছোটধলী এলাকায় তার জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে, সে গেলে ডাকাতি করবে। এমন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে জেলা ডিবি পুলিশের সহযোগিতায় শাহাদাতকে সাথে নিয়ে ছোটধলী এলাকার বেঁড়ি বাঁধের উপর যৌথ অভিযান চালানো হয়। পুলিশের উপস্থিতি টের পেয়ে শাহাদাতের সহযোগিরা পুলিশকে লক্ষ্য করে গুলি ছোড়ে। আত্মরক্ষার্থে পুলিশও পাল্টা গুলি ছুড়লে উভয় পক্ষের মধ্যে বন্দুক যুদ্ধের ঘটনা ঘটে। এসময় শাহাদাত গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়ে আহত হয়। পরে তাকে উদ্ধার করে প্রথমে কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ও পরে নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। 

কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) আরিফুর রহমান জানান, ডাকাত দল এলোপাতাড়ি গুলি ছুড়লে পুলিশ আত্মরক্ষার্থে ২৩রাউন্ড শর্টগান ও পিস্তলের গুলি ছোড়ে। নোয়াখালীর কবিরহাট, কোম্পানীগঞ্জ, সেনবাগসহ বিভিন্œ জেলায় ডাকাতির ঘটনার নেতৃত্বে ছিলো নিহত ডাকাত সর্দার শাহাদাত। ঘটনাস্থল থেকে একটি পাইপগান, ৯রাউন্ড কার্টুজ, ২টি কিরিছ, ২টি চোরা, ১টি সাবল, ১টি রড় ও ১টি লোহার পাতল উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে।

এ ব্যপারে পুলিশ বাদী হয়ে ডাকাতির প্রস্তুতি, অস্ত্র উদ্ধার, হত্যা ও পুলিশের ওপর হামলার ঘটনায় চারটি মামলা দায়ের করে।

A man named Shahadat Hossain Swapan (40) was killed in an alleged gun battle with police at Mushapur union of Noakhali's Companyiganj upazila. Weapons and bullets were recovered from the scene. Police say the deceased Swapan is the head of the inter-district (Chandpur, Lakshmipur, Feni, Noakhali) robbers. There are 20 cases against him in different police stations. Five policemen were injured in the incident.

The gun battle took place on Sunday night at around 8 pm on a pedestrian dam in a small village. The deceased was identified as Shahadat Hossain, son of Belayet Hossain of Bamani Bazar area of ​​Rampur Union upazila. The injured policemen are SI Anwar, Constable Sharif, Ala Uddin, Khorshed, Arif and DB constable Abdul Malek.

Police said that on the evening of Sunday, police arrested Shahdat Hossain, head of the inter-district robbery, on the evening of a raid on Begumganj upazila under the leadership of Police Inspector (Investigation) Mostafizur Rahman. Later, after extensive interrogation, he confesses that his associates are waiting for him in a small area, and he will rob. On the basis of such news, a joint operation was carried out along with Shahadat along with district DB police. Shahadat's associates opened fire on the police after the police presence. The gun battle between the two sides occurred when the police also opened fire for self-defense. The martyr was injured in the gunfire. Later, he was rescued and taken to the Companyiganj Upazila Health Complex and later to Noakhali General Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Companyiganj Police Station (OC) Arifur Rahman said the police fired 20 rounds of shotguns and pistols for self-defense when the dacoits opened fire. The robberies were led by robberies in different districts including Kabirhat, Companyiganj and Senbagh in Noakhali. A pipegun, 4 round cartridges, two kirchis, two sieves, 1 sable, 3 rods and 4 iron plates were recovered from the scene.

In this connection, the police filed four cases in connection with the preparation of the robbery, the recovery of arms, the murder and the attack on the police.
