নোয়াখালীর বেগমগঞ্জে ছিনতাইয়ের সময় কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের ৫ সদস্যকে আটক করেছে স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসী।
এ ঘটনায় মঙ্গলবার বিকেল ৪টার দিকে ভুক্তভোগী মুনীর হোসেন ফাহিম (১৭), আটককৃত ৫জনের বিরুদ্ধে বেগমগঞ্জ থানায় নিজে বাদী হয়ে মামলা দায়ের করেন।
কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের আটককৃত সদস্যরা হলেন, বেগমগঞ্জের হাজীপুর ইউনিয়নের আশ্রাফ উদ্দিন (১৭), একই ইউনিয়নের আলী আহম্মদ সজীব, শরীফপুর ইউনিয়নের মো.ইউনুছ হোসেন (১৭), একই ইউনিয়নের এমরান আলী জিসান (১৬), ও মাকসুদুর রহমান (২১)।
এর আগে, সোমবার রাত ১২টার দিকে উপজেলার শরীফপুর ইউনিয়নের হাসনহাট বাজার সংলগ্ন তালতলা এলাকায় ছিনতাইয়ের ঘটনা ঘটে।
পরে খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থল থেকে বেগমগঞ্জ থানার (এএসআই) ইসমাইল হোসেন আটকৃতদের থানার নিয়ে আসে।
ভুক্তভোগী ফাহিম জানান, আটকৃত কিশোর গ্যাংকের ৬ সদস্য গতকাল রাত ১২টার দিকে বাড়ি যাওয়ার পথে তাকে গতিরোধ করে তার ব্যবহৃত মুঠোফোন ও টাকা ছিনিয়ে নেয়। পরে তার চিৎকারে স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসী কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের ৫ ছিনতাইকারী সদস্যদেরকে আটক করে পুলিশে সোপর্দ করে। এ ছাড়া আরেক কিশোর গ্যাংয়ের সদস্য রাসেলকে তার বাবা আ’লীগ নেতা হওয়ায় কতিপয় ব্যক্তি এলাকাবাসীর কাছ থেকে তাকে ছিনিয়ে নেয়।
এ বিষয়ে বেগমগঞ্জ থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) হারুন অর রশীদ চৌধুরী বলেন, দীর্ঘদিন থেকে এ কিশোর গ্যাং এলাকায় অপরাধ কর্মকান্ড চালিয়ে আসছে। এ ঘটনায় আটককৃত ৫জন সহ অজ্ঞাত ২জনকে আসামী করে মামলা দায়ের করেছেন ভুক্তভোগী।

The arrested members of Kishore gang are Ashraf Uddin (1) of Hajipur union of Begamganj, Ali Ahmed Sajib of the same union, Md. Yunusha Hossain of Sharifpur union, Imran Ali Jissan (3) of the same union, and Makhsudur (2).
Earlier, on Monday night around 12 pm, the raids took place in Taltala area adjacent to Hasanhat Bazar of Sharifpur Union.
Later, Ismail Hossain of the Begumganj Police Station (ASI) was brought to the police station.
The victim, Fahim, told bdnews24.com that a gang member was arrested and robbed her of her used cellphone and money on her way home at around 12pm last night. Later, in his shouting, the locals arrested and detained five members of the juvenile gang and handed them over to the police. In addition, another teenage gang member, Russell, was arrested by some locals for being his father's leader.
Begumganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harun Aur Rashid Chowdhury said the gang has been carrying out crime activities in the area for a long time. The victim has filed a case against two unidentified persons, including six arrested in the incident.
