নোয়াখালীতে এই প্রথমবারের মতো খোলা বাজারে পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি শুরু করেছে টিসিবি’র ডিলাররা। দুপুর থেকে প্রতি কেজি ৪৫ টাকা করে জেলা শহর মাইজদীর শিল্পকলা একাডেমি ও চৌমুহনীতে এক যোগে পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি শুরু হয়।
টিসিবি ডিলার জানান, এক দিন পর পর নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে পিকআপ ভ্যানে এ পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি হবে। প্রত্যেককে এক কেজি করে দেয়া হবে। যতদিন পেঁয়াজ মজুদ থাকবে ততদিন পর্যন্ত খোলা বাজারে পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি অব্যাহত থাকবে।
জেলা শিল্পকলা একাডেমিতে খোলা বাজারে পেঁয়াজ ক্রয় করতে আসা ভোক্তারা জানান, সম্প্রতি বাজারে পেঁয়াজের উর্দ্ধগতী মধ্যবিত্ত ও নিন্ম মধ্যবিত্তদের দুর্ভোগে পেলে দেয়। প্রশাসন বিভিন্ন সময় বাজার নিযন্ত্রণে অভিযান পরিচালনা করলেও নোয়াখালীর বাজারে এখনও প্রতি কেজি পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি হচ্ছে ২০০ থেকে ২২০ টাকা। কিন্তু খোলাবাজারে বিভিন্ন জেলায় পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি করলেও নোয়াখালীতে বিক্রি করা হয়নি। অনেক দেরিতে হলেও প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে খোলা বাজারে পেঁয়াজ বিক্রি শুরু হওয়ায় খুশি ক্রেতারা।

The TCB dealer said the onions will be sold in pickup vans at certain locations after one day. One kilogram each will be made. As long as the onions are in stock, the onions will continue to be sold in the open market.
Consumers who came to buy onions in the open market at the district industrial academy said that the onion in the market recently gave the middle class and lower middle class distress. Although the administration has been conducting various market regulatory operations, onions are still being sold at Tk 25 to 225 per kg in Noakhali market. But onions were sold in Noakhali even though onions were sold in different districts. Although it is too late, the administration is happy to buy onion in the open market.
