নোয়াখালীর বেগমগঞ্জ উপজেলার আমান উল্যাহপুর ইউনিয়নে যুবলীগ, ছাত্রলীগের নেতাকর্মীদের সাথে জামায়াত-শিবিরের নেতাকর্মীদের মধ্যে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনায় মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে। মামলায় সাবেক চেয়ারম্যানসহ অন্তত শতাধিক আসামী করা হয়েছে। ঘটনায় এ পর্যন্ত ৬ জনকে গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ।
সোমবার দুপুরে গ্রেফতারকৃতদের আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে বলে নিশ্চিত করেছেন ওসি হারুনুর রশিদ। গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হচ্ছেন, কৃষ্ণরামপুর গ্রামের দেলোয়ার হোসেন (৪০), একই এলাকার নূরে আলম (২৬), আমান উল্যাহপুর গ্রামের রনি (২৪), মহেশপুর গ্রামের আব্দুল খালেকের ছেলে ছিদ্দিক উল্যা (২২), জামাল উদ্দিনের ছেলে রিয়াজ উদ্দিন (২৩) ও চৌমুহনী পৌরসভার করিমপুর গ্রামের আলী আকবরের ছেলে মহসিন মিয়া (২৫)।
বেগমগঞ্জ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) হারুনুর রশিদ জানান, জামায়াত শিবির কর্মীদের হামলার ঘটনায় আহত যুবলীগ নেতা বঙ্গ মুন্সির ভাই নূর হোসেন বাদী হয়ে থানায় একটি মামলা দায়ের করেছেন। মামলায় আমান উল্যাহপুর ইউপির সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান আলমগীর হোসেনকে প্রধান আসামী করে ৪০জনের নাম উল্লেখ ও অজ্ঞাত নামা আরো ৬০-৭০জনকে আসামী করা হয়েছে। মামলায় এ পর্যন্ত ৬ জন জামায়াত শিবির কর্মীক গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে।
প্রসঙ্গত, রোববার দুপুরে উপজেলার আমান উল্যাহপুর ইউনিয়নের এ কে জি ছায়েদুল হক আদর্শ উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে সামনে শিক্ষার্থীদের দিয়ে শিবিরের সদস্য ফরম পূরণ ও লিফলেট বিতরন করতে যায়। এসময় স্থানীয় যুবলীগ ও ছাত্রলীগের নেতা কর্মীরা বাঁধা দিলে শিবিরের লোকজন চলে যায়। এই ঘটনার জের ধরে দুপুর সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে জামায়াত শিবিরের নেতাকর্মীরা পুনঃরায় ঘটনাস্থলে এসে যুবলীগ ছাত্রলীগের নেতাকর্মীদের উপর হামলা করলে উভয় পক্ষের মধ্যে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে অন্তত ১০জন আহত হয়।

A case has been filed in the Aman Ullahpur union of Begamganj upazila of Noakhali over clashes between Jubo League, Chhatra League leaders and activists. At least 100 accused, including the former chairman, have been charged in the case. Police have arrested four persons so far.
OC Harunur Rashid confirmed that the arrested were sent to jail through the court on Monday afternoon. The arrested are Delwar Hossain (5) of Krishnarampur village, Nure Alam (25) of the same area, Rani (25) of Aman Ullahpur village, Chiddik Ula (22), son of Abdul Khalek of Maheshpur village, Riaz Chaudhour and Riaz Poudur (2) of Jamal Uddin. Mohsin Mia, 28, son of Ali Akbar of the village.
Begumganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (RC) Harunur Rashid said that the brother of injured Jubo League leader Bang Munshi, Nur Hossain, filed a case against the Jamaat Shibir activists. Aman Ullahpur UP chairman Alamgir Hossain has been named as the main accused in the case. So far, four Jamaat Shibir activists have been arrested in the case.
On Sunday noon, AKG Chhaidul Haque of Aman Ullahpur Union of Upazila went to fill up the camp member's form and distribute the leaflet with the students in front of Adarsh High School. The local Juba League and Chhatra League leaders were stopped by the cadres. In the wake of this incident, at around 12:30 pm, Jamaat Shibir activists came to the scene again and attacked the Jubo League Chhatra League activists. At least three people were injured in the attack.
