নোয়াখালীর হাতিয়া উপজেলার সুখচর ইউনিয়নে মৌলভীচরে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে অভিযান চালিয়ে আয়ুব নবী (৪৫) ও ফরিদ উদ্দিন (৩০) নামে দুই জলদস্যুকে আটক করেছে কোস্টগার্ড।
এসময় তাদের কাছ থেকে একটি এক নলা বন্দুক, একটি পাইপগান, চার রাউন্ড গুলি ও চারটি রামদা জব্দ করা হয়।
মৌলভীরচর এলাকা থেকে তাদের আটক করা হয়েছে। আটককৃতরা হচ্ছেন, লক্ষ্মীপুর জেলার রামগতি উপজেলার চর আব্দুল্ল্যাহ গ্রামের মাহমুদ উল্যার ছেলে আয়ুব নবী ও একই এলাকার নূর মোহাম্মদের ছেলে ফরিদ উদ্দিন। তারা উভয় বর্তমানে হাতিয়ার চেয়ারম্যান বাজার সংলগ্ন তেলীরচরে থাকে।
কোস্টগার্ড হাতিয়ার স্টেশান অফিসার লে. মেহেদী হাসান জানান, ৬-৭ জনের একদল জলদস্যু মৌলভীরচর এলাকায় ৪০-৫০টি মাছ ধরার নৌকাতে ডাকাতি করার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে এমন সংবাদে ভিত্তিতে ওই এলাকায় অভিযান চালানো হয়। এসময় দস্যুদল কোস্টগার্ডের উপস্থিতি টের পেয়ে পালানোর চেষ্টা করলে তাদের ধাওয়া করে আয়ুব নবী ও ফরিদ উদ্দিনকে একটি একনলা বন্দুক, একটি পাইপগান, চার রাউন্ড গুলি ও চারটি রামদাসহ আটক করা হয়।
তিনি আরো জানান, আটককৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে ডাকাতি প্রস্তুতি ও অস্ত্র উদ্ধারের ঘটনায় মামলা দায়ের করে থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।

The Coast Guard has arrested two pirates, Ayub Nabi (3) and Farid Uddin (4), on a tip-off in Mulvichar under Sukchachar union of Hatia upazila of Noakhali.
A gun, a pipegun, four rounds of ammunition and four Ramdas were seized from them.
They were arrested from Moulvirchar area. The arrested are Ayub Nabi, son of Mahmud Ullah of Char Abdullah village of Ramgati upazila of Lakshmipur district and Farid Uddin, son of Noor Mohammad of the same area. They are both currently in the oil field, adjacent to the chairman of the tool market.
Coast Guard tool station officer Lt. Mehdi Hasan said that a group of 3-5 pirates were preparing to commit robbery in a fishing boat in Moulvirchar area. In the meantime, the robbers tried to flee the Coast Guard's presence after chasing them, Ayub Nabi and Farid Uddin were arrested with a single gun, a pipegun, four rounds of ammunition and four Ramdas.
He added that a case was registered against the detainees in preparation for the robbery and arms recovered and handed over to the police station.
