নোয়াখালী কবিরহাটে জায়গাজমি নিয়ে বিরোধের জের ধরে ও উপজেলা নির্বাচনে ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান প্রার্থীর পক্ষে কাজ না করায় বসত ঘরে হামলা ও লুটপাটের অভিযোগ উঠেছে।
বৃহস্পতিবার উপজেলার ৩নং ধানশিঁড়ি ইউনিয়নের ২নং ওয়ার্ড নলুয়া আশ্রায়ন সংলগ্ন মাকুসুদ মাঝির বাড়িতে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
ভুক্তভোগী পরিবার ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, জায়গা জমি নিয়ে দীর্গদিন যাবত স্থানীয় ইউনিয়নের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান নুরুল আলম ভুইয়া পারভেজ ও ২নং ওয়ার্ডের বর্তমান মেম্বার ফয়েজের সাথে বিরোধ চলে আসছিলো এবং গত উপজেলা নির্বাচনে পারভেজ ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান পদে নির্বাচনকরাকালীন ভুক্তভোগী পরিবারের লোকজন তার ভোট না করায় তারই জের ধরে পুর্ব পরিকল্পিত ভাবে তারা বহিরাগত সন্ত্রাসী এনে তাদের বাড়িঘরে হামলা ও লুটপাট চালায়। এসময় বাঁধা দিতে গিয়ে বাড়িতে থাকা নারী পুরুষ সহ ৯ জন আহত হয়েছে। আহতরা বর্তমানে নোয়াখালী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছে।
এ ঘটনায় বহিরাগত সন্ত্রাসীরা সেখানে আশ্রায়ন সংলগ্ন স্থানে তিনটি ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠানের উপর হামলা চালিয়ে তাদের দোকানঘর ভাংচুর করে দোকানের মালামাল সহ ক্যাশ থেকে নগদ টাকা নিয়ে যায়। ভুক্তভোগী এক গরীব দোকানদার মরিয়ম বেগম জানান, তাদের জায়গা জমি নিয়ে বিরোধ সেটা তাদের বিষয় কিন্তু আমি কি দোষ করেছি ফয়েজ মেম্বারের ভাতিজা লোকজন নিয়ে এসে আমার দোকানঘর ভাংচুর করেছে। সে আমার দোকানের ক্যাশ খুলে টাকা নিয়ে যাওয়াতে আমি বাধা দিলে সে আমাকে চড় মেরে আমার টাকা নিয়ে গেছে এবং আমার পার্শ্বের দোকান মা টেলিকমে ভাংচুর করে তাদের দোকানে থাকা কম্পিউটার সহ বিভিন্ন মালামাল কুপিয়ে নষ্ট করে দিয়েছে।
এ ঘটনায় আহতরা হচ্ছেন, মাসুদা খাতুন (৯০), সামসুন্নাহার (৭০), মরিয়ম বেগম (৫০), নয়ন আক্তার (৪০), শিল্পি আক্তার (৩৫), পারভিন আক্তার (৩০), জহুরা খাতুন (২৮), রুমা আক্তার (২০) ও নুর ইসলাম (৫০)
এঘটনায় অভিযুক্ত ধানশিঁড়ি ইউনিয়নের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান নুরুল আলম ভুইয়া পারভেজ তার বিরুদ্ধে আনিত অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করে মুঠোফোনে জানান, তাদের খরিদকৃত জায়গায় জোরপুর্বক ঘর নির্মাণ করায় তারা বাধা দিতে গেলে তারা নিজেরা এসব করে আমাদের পাসানোর চেষ্টা করতেছে।
অপর দিকে ২নং ওয়ার্ডের ইউপি সদস্য ফয়েজ মেম্বারও তার বিরুদ্ধে করা অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করে জানান, তারা নিজেরা নিজেদের বসতঘর কুপিয়ে আমাদেরকে পাসানোর চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে। আমরা শুধু আমাদের জায়গা দখল মুক্ত করেছি।
এব্যাপারে করিহাট থানার অফিসার ইনাচার্জ মির্জা মোহাম্মদ হাসান মুঠোফোনে জানান, তিনি ঘটনাটি শুনেছেন তবে তার ওসি তদন্ত ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছেন।
পরে কবিরহাট থানার ওসি (তদন্ত) টমাস বড়–য়া ঘটনার সত্যতা শিকার করে বলেন, আমরা খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছি তবে কাউকে ঘটনাস্থলে উপস্থিত পাইনি। কেবা কাহার এ ধরনের নেক্কার জনক ঘটনা ঘটিয়েছে তা খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে এবং ভুক্তভোগী পরিবারের লোকজন লিখিত অভিযোগ দিলে আইনানুগ ব্যাবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।
